CREATING COMMUNITY THROUGH MUSIC

Feeding Souls is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Austin, Texas, dedicated to enriching lives through live music.

Our mission is to bring the joy of live performances to underserved communities, focusing not only on children and youth in schools but also reaching out to inmates, senior citizens, and patients in medical facilities. We partner with local musicians to create uplifting experiences during school lunch breaks and extend these healing musical encounters to all corners of the community. We firmly believe that music is a fundamental human right and a powerful tool for social healing, accessible to everyone.

HOW IT WORKS

School administrators and community center managers collaborate with us by providing a suitable space such as a cafetorium or community hall during designated times, enabling local musicians to perform. The performances are designed to be ambient, allowing attendees to enjoy the music in the background while going about their activities. Those interested can engage more closely if they wish. Additionally, each session is professionally documented by a videographer.

Every Feeding Souls session is fully funded through the generosity of our sponsors and donors, ensuring that participating organizations can offer this enriching experience without impacting their budgets. This setup allows for a delightful enhancement to routine gatherings or meals, benefiting both the community and the artists involved.

“Seeing and hearing a professional musician perform LIVE not only reveals how the music is created by other people but involves listeners in the creative act as it happens, moment by moment—that makes music more accessible.

What Feeding Souls brings to young people is both exceptional and exceptionally important.
